Central to her work is the technique of re-imagination, which engages communities of interest while placing the self at the heart of the image.
Since 2009, Agyepong has worked across photographic and performance arts, with her works published, performed, and exhibited throughout the UK and internationally. She has been nominated for the Prix Pictet and the Paul Huf Award in 2016, 2018, and 2021, and her work is held in prestigious collections including Autograph ABP, Centre national des arts plastiques, The Hyman Collection, Arts Council England, New Orleans Museum of Art, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Mead Art Museum, The Walther Collection, and the National Portrait Gallery. In her acting career, Agyepong gravitates towards challenging and compelling material, drawn to distinctive voices and narratives. She has previously served as an associate artist with the Black-led theatre company Talawa and continues to perform nationally and internationally. In 2025, she received nominations for an Olivier Award for Best Actress and the Stage West End Debut Award for her work in Shifters.
