Sam Tutty
Dougal
Sam Tutty is an English actor and musical theatre performer celebrated for his compelling presence on the stage. Born in Crawley, West Sussex in 1998, he trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts before making his professional debut in Once on This Island at the Southwark Playhouse. Tutty’s breakthrough came when he originated the title role in the West End production of Dear Evan Hansen at the Noël Coward Theatre, a performance that won him the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2020, making him one of the youngest actors to receive the honour.
Since then, Tutty has continued to build an impressive stage career. He starred as Dougal in Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) in London’s West End and is set to make his Broadway debut in the same role at the Longacre Theatre in 2025
